Write in this thread if you are interested in a 21" set of TNA Razor wheels for Model Y or Model S 2022- with ABE or ECE approval. We need to have 50 pre orders to make them. The Price will be 4995 €
Generally, it looks highly interesting for me.
But the price level of 4995 € (incl. VAT or without?) seems to be really high aimed…
Just to give an idea - Tesla Germany provides a following wheels set at the moment:
(the similar sizes, but already incl. BLE sensors and TO Pirelli tyres)
Fully agree. In that case I would buy original 21" MY Performance Uberturbines for 3990 Euro(and the come completely configured with tires and sensors).
Most look for a CHEAPER alternative to Tesla wheels .
We need to charge 4995 € for the forged set of 21” which is actually a low price. I can see the winter set costs 4750 $ + tax in the US. Are you sure they are 3990 € including tax in Germany?
That is a good deal for a Tesla 21". But many cheap wheels will come within a year or so. I Sweden we have a lot of cheap Chinese wheels since we have no rules like in Germany.
Well-
The Ubertubine is a simple cast wheel. Mass production. Made by „Maxion“ who claim to be the biggest wheel maker in the world. Probably Mexico?
The TNA 21“ which I rock on my Model S is finest quality Italian CNC milled forged Alu.
EU patriotism.
For me that was never a question.
Tesla neglects their wheel game and milks the customer.
That’s why they now could lower the 21“ price for the full wheel set including rubber from 6000 to the one above.
They still make a ton of profit.
Reminds me to the P100D days when they lowered them to below 100k while a space X employee confirmed they could make them for 40k.
I can add that the set for Model S 2021- is in stock and we sell them to the US, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, France etc and the price is 4995 € with no ABE. We also have the 21” for the old S at 4495 €. They are 8,5/9” wide hence the price difference.
I can try to send a email to our newsletter subscribers for Y/S located in DACH and maybe we get there. Keep in mind the S has not even arrived yet so probably in the spring a lot of Plaid guys will wake up
hardcore testing continue bringing You the 19" TNA to the 2023 MS PLAID/LR. For the Model S
Either it will be
a square setup (load rating and rubber specs work so far, it´s about the traction control abilites the TÜV wants to see)
or
staggered (wider wheels rear axle) like the 19" Cardenio wheels from Tesla. This would then take a bit longer, since we have to modify our cast form and get the KBA, which will be around March then.
on the „X“ You can use the 22" wheels with the dimensions we already offer, since all You have to do is get an „Einzeleintragung“ for ~140€. Load rating and rubber specs are allowed, also for PLAID.
here are images curtesy of the PLAID threads. @grizzly has a square setup (same aluwheel dimensions front & back,), but 255 in the front and 275 in the back.
