Wenn wir wüssten ob die neue DU schon den Inverter mit 24 statt 18 Chips hat, wären wir ein Stück schlauer.
Das ist Strom abhängig. 24 Chipmodule (2 SiC Chips pro Modul) kommen heute schon zum Einsatz. Die 18 Chipmodule auch, bei Leistungsreduzierung. Um das umzusetzen was Tesla plant, Reduzierung um 75% muss tesla an die Spannungslage ran. Somit denke ich das bei dem neuen Fahrzeug 800V zum Einsatz kommen muss.

Aktuell sind 18 Inverterchips verbaut, keine 24 (außer bei der auf dem ID23 vorgestellten DU - so Munro nach der Werksführung).
Es kommt auf das Model an. Tesla Model Y AWD (Strukturbatterie 4680Zelle) 18 SiC an der HA. VA 18 Si. Plaid, Model S/X LR, Performance Antriebe 3/Y an der HA 24.

Das ist so lt. Munro Report nicht korrekt. Tesla nutzt immer den gleichen Inverter an allen DUs. Derzeit mit 18 Chips auch im Plaid.

That is the standard/expected base rear motor of all 2023 Model 3/Y Long Range and Standard Range out of Shanghai and Grünheide. Hairpin Stator and limited to 220kW (little more in the RWD).
Great mix of efficiency and performance overall.

The mix-up with 740/780 is weird indeed, but I have no doubt that this is a 3D7 and not a disguised 3D6 Performance.
LC is currently unknown, but with battery packs you can usually tell if they are refurbished if this digit is anything else than 00.

Is it common that they install refurbished battery packs for brand new cars?

What I meant is, that part numbers on battery packs seem to follow this pattern. Not part numbers on motors. There is no remanufactured motors AFAIK on M3/MY.
LC remains a mystery right now, as the Part number mix-up with the 3D6 ending. If the inverter is changed, for whichever reason, this motor plate is usually completely blank.

Laut Tesla-Info.com ist der 4. Generation Performance Heckmotor auch im MY Long Range angekommen!
Von 180 MIG MYLR im Bestand, haben 133 Stück den neuen Performance Heckmotor (4D1) verbaut. Der Rest noch den 3. Generation Base Motor (3D7).
Performance Motoren im Model Y Long Range sind außerhalb der USA ein Novum, wenn ich das richtig beobachtet habe.
