Just a quick update. First, we are about one month past where I want to be in the project at this point. I took the first week of July off work, and drove the Model S to Montana to spend the week with my mother and my brothers. It's always a nice trip in a Tesla in the summer. I drove 1300 miles in 26 hours to get there from San Diego.
I also had the pleasure of attending the Tesla Gigafactory event this past weekend. So, now it's back to serious work!
For UK customers, I'm aware of the time constraints with Neil leaving for the winter.
1) We had begun and have completed a 3rd redesign of the JdeMO printed circuit board. I really didn't want to do this, but we are atttempting to mitigate the occasional nusance message during charging. If this is not successful, of course we will use the circuit boards that are already built for the job. As stated previously, we have no control over how Tesla wrote the code in the Roadster, but I think we have a few tricks anyway.
2) All Rav4 EV JdeMO assembly has stopped to allow for the Roadster assemblies
3) Harware engineering is in the final stages
4) I now have one Roadster in the shop for fitting
We will push through these final steps as quickly as we can.
